Rebates

The Queensland State Government is offering a $1500 rebate for rainwater tanks, with a capacity of 3,000 litres or more, that are plumbed to a toilet or washing machine.  Brisbane City Council residents enjoy a further $900 (or $1150 for tanks with a capacity of 5,000 litres or more) with the same internal plumbing conditions. That’s a total of $2650 in rebates for a 5,000 litre rainwater tank fully installed.

HOW MUCH DOES INTERNAL PLUMBING COST?
The average cost for plumbing a tank to a toilet or washing machine is around $700.  In most cases this extra cost will be more than covered by the recent increases in the State Government and Brisbane City Council rebates.

There’s never been a better time to install a rainwater tank.  With the Queensland Government rebate in addition to local council rebates, you can afford to save your garden, wash your car, top up your pool, flush your toilet and still help to conserve the water from our parched dams.
